Grendel War Child was the first “independent” book I ever picked up and it was awesome. I remember suggesting it to all of my friends because it was so “different” from all of the Super Hero comics which I had been reading. It is always a pleasure to meet Mr. Wagner, and I am happy to have this piece as a constant reminder of that wonderful period of enlightenment in my life. (There is a comic book world beyond Spider-man)
