House of M #1 - Recreation

The original cover art for the variant edition of House of M #1 pencilled by Olivier Coipel and inked by Tim Townsend...can gloriously be found in fellow CAF member Weston Allen's gallery. This here though is a faithfully re-produced 3-piece re-creation by Josh Templeton. The interesting thing about this re-creation though is that under careful scrutiny it appears as though Josh based his re-creation not on the Coipel/Townsend masterpiece but on Abdenour Nemiche's re-creation of the Coipel/Townsend original. So, technically, this should be called a re-creation of a re-creation. Either way, I like it and I think it captures the bleakness and tone, if not the complexity and subtleness, of the original cover. A big thanks to both Abdenour and Josh for their re-creative efforts and to Coipel & Townsend for the original design and execution!
