As did everyone else at the 2005 Baltimore Comic-Con who had never seen him do it, I asked Erik Larsen how the hell he ever developed his style of drawing. I don't mean his linework or his exaggerations -- you've really gotta see it to understand what I'm referencing. Erik holds the pencil or pen in this cramped up way with his hand at an absolutely unnatural angle, but away that mangled clump of bone and skin goes and out comes art! This is a Hulk sketch he did for me.
