Description
No Daredevil here...but this was a nice Punisher lead in to the double page splash that followed with Daredevil. This is part of the three issue DD/Punisher storyline where many, many collectors have debated over the past 30 years with how much of this artwork from this particular issue was Miller and how much was Janson. I think that it is safe to say that this three issue story arc was the transition point where Miller handed the chores over to Janson. You can definitely see the change in DD 185.

UPDATE: I am no longer the owner of this page. I purchased it from Scott Williams (yes, THE Scott Williams) back in the early 2000s when he posted it on eBay for sale. EBay was the juggernaut at this stage of original comic art selling, and this was before HA became the juggernaut that it did by 2005. This purchase started a minor dialogue between Scott and me, and I try to say hello to him when I attend and see him at the SDCC. I have purchased some other interior pages from him in the past as he had some major renovation projects over the years for his house in San Diego.

These childs play issues and the death of elektra artwork were really the peak of the Miller/Janson teaming in terms of art style for me. I love the bold inks and the way Jason spots blacks here in a very graphic fashion. Miller as always is a master of sequential images.
