Description
One of the best Captain Marvel pages I've ever seen, this partial splash features the scene where Thanos, recently ascended to "Godhood", is goaded by Captain Marvel to retake corporeal form. Great stuff by Starlin, and superior inking by Jansen.

Indeed, this is the first piece of original comic art I ever purchased, way back in the late 70s at a Seuling convention in Philadelphia where I attended graduate school at U of Penn. I bought it from Jim himself, and could just kick myself at all the great pages and covers I passed on. What did I know? $35 seemed like a small fortune at the time...:)

What a great combination of artists on these characters. Janson makes every artist he works on more interesting.

Well, that's a good appreciation of investment. Avoid Bear Stearns and keep buying comic art! Killer, killer piece, great story, and thanks for showing us mortals
