Panther Girl and Tiger Woman defeat a Claw Monster!

This is a beautiful piece David.. and good to see that you are trying the otherside of the coin...

Well, I saw an absolutely adorable pic of Linda Stirling as Tiger Woman (from the 1944 serial!) that Will Meugniot had drawn a few weeks ago, and I just had to contact him and have him draw the famous serial heroine of the 1940s meeting up with her "jungle girl" counterpart from the next decade, Phyllis Coates as Panther Girl! It was Will's idea to have them defeat a "Claw Monster" -- one of the giant crustaceans which provided the (somewhat minimal!) horror in the 1955 serial "Panther Girl of the Kongo"! It is rather fun to see the two sexy serial heroines together in one pic! Will is going to do at least two more Tiger Woman/Panther Girl pics for me!

This is an incredible piece, David. Love the detail and theme. I have the old Tiger Woman serials with Linda Stirling. Big fan here of both her and Phyllis Coates. It would have been interesting to see the pair teamed up.

Thanks for the comment, Todd! I just wish that there had been sequels to the "Tiger Woman" and "Panther Girl" serials! That would have been fun! Of course, "Panther Girl of the Kongo" was one of the very last serials ever released (in 1955), since competition from television drove the genre to extinction! Oh well...
