This and the following pages are a sampling of the Madman flipbook that Mike Allred created for the first Madman series published by Tundra in
the early 90s�those of you familiar with the series will recall that there were tiny figures of Madman in the corners that made up a flipbook.

I picked this up from Mike many years ago in a trade. I was a big fan of the series and really wanted to get the book. On the other hand, Mike didn�t want to part with it after putting so much
work into it. In the end I offered him an early Wally Wood sci-fi splash for it, which wound up closing the deal. I remember both of us were a bit uneasy doing it but being happy in the end.

The inside front cover of the book is especially interesting because it details the many names Allred was considering for the title, with
Madman in dead center. The book itself is an 80 page spiral notebook, 3.5 x 4.5 inches and contains 73 pages of art.
