One of my favorite pages from this incredible run.
Goddamn, Shawn, that is one sweet piece! I'm seriously happy for you (and a little bit jealous)!
Hiroshi, you landed a page from another of my favorite Batman stories—congratulations, buddy, this is the real deal (and by one of my all-time favorite batman writers... and he didn't do too many!).
Holy cow, this is freaking amazing. Congrats, David, a beauty! And, if you don't know this already, I remember reading a poll of favorite science-fiction/fantasy/adventure movies that Moebius participated in, and Star Wars was his pick.
Rob is right. Unquestionably one of the finest EC stories ever. A major, lovely acquisition. Congrats, Buddy!
I just checked the date of Rockwell's painting and it was done in 1957. I doubt that Rockwell would have been influenced by this strip, not so many years later, but it is interesting to compare the two. And, of course, both are great.
This is just lovely, congrats. I love Gasoline Alley, by King and Moores. The panel at the diner reminds me of the classic Rockwell painting (wait, they're all classics!) of the prom date: http://tiny.cc/nnn42 Again, beautiful pick up!
This is one of the most memorable pages in the entire run, a great page. Now you just need the next one for a perfect set! Congrats, Mark!
This page is prime time, radiates power. Congrats, buddy.
Man, would I ever! Round it out with Dr. Fate, the first Metal Men, That incredible issue of Detective Comics with Batman in the wax museum... what a great book that would be... C'mon, DC, get with it! ;-)
Great piece, Kelvin. I was the guy who sold it to Kane all those years ago. It was pretty expensive back then...nearly three hundred bucks!
Beautiful pickup, buddy, couldn't have found a better home. And I agree, this is my favorite period for Smith too.
One of my favorite books of the 80s--congrats on a great piece.
I saw this original years ago and it is beautiful, always been one of my favorites.
Beautiful piece, Lee keeps getting better and better. Congrats.
I used to read this strip when I was a kid, loved it. Very nice!
Man, why don't you put up some GOOD art for a change...? ;-) Just another notch in your belt, Scott, a beauty.
Now that's something you don't see every day--cool piece.
This is beautiful, Joe. Did you do this one a while ago, it looks very familiar to me.
