This is yet another set of characters from me and my husband, Adam Withers, comic we�re working on, The Uniques.

Mentor and Kinetic are the parents of our character Telepath. This is the flashback image for our bio on them. What we were going for is a look that was very reminiscent of the 70�s - something we could do because we are working with an actual timeline vs. the compressed timelines for Marvel or DC comics. So where Nightwing�s old 70�s costume looks ridiculous in the context of saying that it happened within the last seven years, this makes since because it was actually worn in 1976. Costuems that the two of them could look back on and shake their heads at, but also be proud that they could pull it off.

The main idea for them is that they were freedom fighters back in the day for the rights of Uniques (somewhat similar to the idea of Marvel�s Mutants) and when from radicals to world renowned heroes.
