DescriptionI love cartoon art that is a reflection of society from an earlier time. Prohibition cartoons and WWII cartoons are probably my favorites. This wonderful Clark panel, from 1/20/45, features a young man sleeping in bed, as his parents look in on him. His father states, "Sure wish I could stay home during Sonny's furlough! But no soldier's going to see me absent from a war job!" A poignant piece that clearly reflects the era in which is was created.Social/Sharing |

An amazing collection. This one in particular though, summarises a powerful "slice of life" quite beautifully.
