I was a huge fan of this from the first time I saw it posted. Catching Nightcrawler in mid-BAMF just makes this image perfect.

Awesome piece. I am rereading the Dark Phoenix Saga as we speak, and boy does JB do a mean Nightcrawler! Great piece, thanks for sharing.

I agree with Art Fan... one of Byrne's best. It was this piece that made me take the plunge and get a Byrne commission myself. Ari, I will always be jealous of this one! In my opinion, this represents Nightcrawler perfectly... the classic Byrne look, the detail in the BAMF cloud, the shading... I love it! For a character that I've heard Byrne wasn't that fond of, he draws him better than anyone. Congrats!
