Description
Ever read about that page that remained in memory when in child you read the comic and then, all grown up, it appears on the market? Well, for me this is one of those cases. At the time, i couldn't be bothered about who wrote or who has drawn it, so no way i would remember Gene Day's hand in it. But that 6th panel would forever be marked. A highly underrated artist, this is a very nice example of his sense of design and light playing and everything else that he brought to Shang Shi's magazine.

Definitely one of Gene's best pages. Love the Marlene Dietrich image.

A very interesting page. Reminds me somewhat of Steranko. I enjoy seeing the original art for older material such as this, where some of the artists' subtleties may have been lost in the printing processes.

Incredible 6th panel. I have to say, I really like you collection, important pieces stands beside very well chosen, lesser known things, but always of very high quality. Congrats!

Gene Day was a great artist, but died prematurely.
