There is so much detail, it almost borders on the work of Aragones or Darrow! Great pick-up!

While the Perez pencils and design shine through, the stylistic Colon inks really give this a different feel from some of the superhero covers Perez was doing during this era. I think it works, though, and is very fitting for the subject matter. I also agree with you that Amethyst was rather unique so I'm surprised no one is trying to bring her back.

Definitely an unusual combo, with Perez' details feeling different under Colon's fine lines, free of blocking and shading.
