DescriptionThis wonderful pen & ink illustration appeared in American Heritage magazine in 1994. I don't have the tearsheet that goes along with the illustration, but it appears to have to do the media in public life, going back to Revolutionary War times. The illustration features John Hancock, Oliver Wendell Holmes, and Upton Sinclair, among others. You can get a sense of the physicality of Marvin's work in this piece.
