issue #3, appropriately enough, focused on Triplicate Girl, with a cover homaging Schoolhouse Rock's declaration the "Three is a magic number!" The sitcom-esque magic is that Triplicate Girl is going on simultaneous dates with Element Lad, Ultra Boy, and Sun Boy. On this page, Ultra Boy takes her on a very 1950s spin in his vintage convertible, which runs on hideously expensive fossil fuels. This villain-free issue was a lot of fun and character building.

Kitson eschews fancy layouts for a basic six panel design, with six different camera angles. Panels one and three have the dreaded "reverse angle" which Kitson smooths by presenting a rear view in between, as if the camera eye is circling the car clockwise.
