Legion of Superheroes Issue 6 Page 2

This is a terrific page from a terrific issue which re-introduced Princess Projectra. She's a true pampered princess whose super-power (it is said) is that "she's insanely wealthy." On this page, Cosmic Boy and Star Boy approach her apartments to beg for money, and are accosted by her bouncers.

Like other characters in the series (and like writer Mark Waid), the bodyguards are obsessed with Silver Age DC comic books, which Kitson and Thibert take the time to recreate in small scale. However, these images were replaced digitally with actual <i>Superman</i> and <i>Mystery in Space</i> covers for the published page.

That aside, check out Projectra's impressive double doors, and the holo-globe with which she communicates with her father in the final panel.

Didn't like how the Pampered Princess routine turned downright nasty later on in the series but this page makes me smile everytime
