This drawing revisits Marvel Two in One # 15 (originally drawn by Arvell Jones and Dick Giordano) in which the Thing and Morbius the Living Vampire do battle against the diabolical "Living Eraser", whose hand gadgets transport his foes off into another dimension.
I consider Gary Barker to be an original MTIO artist by virtue of a cover he drew for a reprint series in the early 1990s called "The Adventures of the Thing" (issue # 4, featuring the Thing and Man-Thing). I had been trying to track Gary down for quite some time, but could only find a guy with the very same name who was drawing the Garfield comic strip in the newspaper. I finally figured out that they were one and the same person, just working in two very different art styles. So very dumb, dumb, dumb of me..!
