Kitson flexes his action sequence muscles on the top tier. Mark Waid stays uncharacteristically silent instead of adding jokey dialogue, perhaps because it would have covered some of the fight. The bottom half of the page does have a joke in which all the other heroes leave the big bruiser to Ultra Boy.
Phantom Girl's Bronze Age costume had a large Power Girl-style "boob window." Her costume here has a solid black oval in homage to that. A few issues later, a vertical stem was added to the left side of the costume, changing the oval into a "P" for "Phantom."
