Description

Lloyd Jacquet was the first editor for DC and New Fun Comics. He formed one of the first comic art shops. His staff, including Carl Burgos, Bill Everett, Ben Thompson produced material for Centaur Publications. The shop was later asked by Martin Goodman to produce features for his new Timely line of comics. Having created the Human Torch, Burgos was asked to 'humanize" his android hero. This art is from the Jacquet Estate.

So Fine...so Historic...so Great you have it.

I knew he was an early Golden age rtist, but was surprised that he also worked for early Silver Marvel...ie: The Giant-Man Wasp story in Tales to Astonish 62.
