DescriptionNew York Comic-con. MY DISNEY GRAIL !! There he was, quietly promoting the new Captain Action comic. People walking by, not realizing that this man has been involved in the biggest animation movies within the last 25 years! The Little Mermaid , Beauty and the Beast , Lion King , Mulan , Aladdin. Even the INCREDIBLES. You name it. He drew it. His Ursula maquette from The Little Mermaid is on permanent display at the Smithsonian Museum. He is part of the designs. And his Porcelain statues are for sale around the world! It took a geek like me to recognize him, gush about his work, and politely (yeah right) ask for a sketch. I could've asked for an Ariel, but everybody knows that villains have all the fun. And Ursula has all that oomph. So I choose HER! And he was gracious enough to do it. People stopped to notice him while he sketched, and by the time he finished drawing, people knew that there was this gem of an artist that they were passing by all weekend. Thank you, Ruben.
