Nothing beats a Frazetta Famous Funnies Buck Rogers cover! I often wonder what masterpieces Frank would have created if he didn't ghost for Al Capp for nine years. Thanks for posting a larger image.

How does someone other than a museum own this? This is not art, it's American pop culture history.

I cant imagine getting to admire this in person on a daily basis. Its probably a good thing Im not able to. If I were to bask in the glow of this brush-work for long Id probably quit inking.

Splendid. I also had he pleasure of visiting the museum, in its' heyday. Did the blue wash affect the look of the printed cover or did Frazetta add it just to enhance the original? Norm

Thanks for your comment. Several of the famous funnies covers were done in blue wash--it did not effect the printing process.

One of the best comic book covers of the "golden age" even if a little later and one of the best comic covers of any age. Incredible. Bravo!

I scrolled down through, because I must have commented on this before, and didn't want to make another comment.  Turns out, I'd never freakin' commented either.  That's insane!

This page is the most powerful comic book cover ever, that looks like a diaphanous dream.  Wisps of fine lines coalesce into such a beautiful image, it almost hurts to look at it.  You are so lucky to be the caretaker of this piece of comic history.
