This particular page has no alteration, as it is part two of a three part comedic triad (all comedy comes in threes). However, this page does feature the FIRST appearance of the Extremists, the DC versions (Doctor Diehard, Dreamslayer, Gorgon, Lord Havok, and Tracer) of the Marvel villians Magneto, Dormammu, Doctor Octopus, Doctor Doom, and Sabertooth. I remember when these villians first came out, thinking they were pretty cool, but I never realized they were based on the Marvel villiams until recently. These villains were the result of the DC and Marvel writers of the early 70's attempting to feature versions of each others characters in their own publications (Google the planet Angor to find more information on these faux crossovers). With the recreation of the Multiverse following the events of 52, the planet Angor is retroactively attributed to the parallel reality known as Earth-8, with newer versions of the Extremists featured. Frankly, I liked the older versions better (I guess you don't let the satire fall too far from the tree).
