Description
Mike Carey can sure write dialogue! This page occurs after 2 of Susano's brothers had been killed and his mother, Izanami, had agreed to return Lucifer's wings. But as this humiliation cannot be allowed to stand, she inserts feathers into the wings that would later prove to be Lucifer's undoing when he battles the Basanos in Issue 24.

This is such a great page for the reasons you mentioned. It also illustrates how well planned out this series was with Carey inserting story elements well over a year in advance.
