Description

Interesting story on this one: Tim showed me the photocopies of the book before it came out at that year at SDCC. I asked him for this page prior to when it was printed and he reserved it for me. That same year, the colorist, Bjarne Hansen was sitting with Tim and he would eventually do the color art on it. I asked Bjarne I'd like to buy the color art as well once he could sell it. He seemed a little hesitant as he had not even colored it yet! I gave him my address and lost touch with him. Due to logistical issues, I missed Tim at a couple conventions eventually getting it at SDCC the following year. A few months after SDCC I got a package in the mail with the color art from Bjarne apologizing for taking so long to send the art. He said he finally remembered the art and it was a gift for waiting so long. What a great guy!
I eventually had the piece framed with Tim's black and white art, Bjarne's art and a "S" logo. I had a difficult time getting the color art to photograph well, so I'll see if I can get a better picture of it up.
