DescriptionOne of my favorite Batman images was from the George Perez Batman Portfolio back in the late 80's. It was a Batman and Robin vs. Joker piece and the setting was on this HUGE Joker hot air balloon. I remember admiring the piece in all it's black and white glory (as were all the other plates) and all the beautiful fine linework George put into it. So when I commissioned George to do a piece, of course I asked for a Batman and Joker piece in the same setting on the Joker balloon. And look at what he did!!! Amazing!!! I am so thrilled and so lucky to have this piece. This was exactly what I had in mind; he kept all the beautiful lines and mood from the original piece. This isn't a recreation; more in the traditon of Michael Finn's One Minute Later theme but only this is more like Three Seconds Later!!!

Looking at this is making me think if I've seen a Perez commission better than this. Ever. Damn you for hurting my head!

Nah, no color for this piece. Since the original piece was in B&W, that's how I want to keep this piece. Coloring it would ruin it for me.

This is one hell of a commission. George went all out. The detailed line inking is extremely impressive. I would keep this B+W and have the colors done digitally since you already have it scanned. Just great !!!! Cheers! N.
