Description
My first Everett Sub-Mariner page from #50 p8--I am working for one from every Everett issue. Several nice shots of Subby, face visible, as well as Namora on ice. Note that Subby is panel 2 is holding on the the panel border for support but the last panel is the best. This was a straightforward eBay buy...I just had to pay more than everyone else that day...happy to do it!

Congrats on another fine addition to your collection! There's something that I really like about those last books Everett did all by himself. It strikes me that he was really expressing himself how he wanted to, in a very individualistic way. It's of course sad but also heartening in a weird way that he was still at the top of his game, and even reaching forward to greater heights near the very end of his life. This great page is a perfect example... mighty cool!

A page from each Everett Subby is a cool goal. This issue has some remarkable pages, this being one of them. I have 2 pages and wonder where the others are. Love the use of white paint to make the underwater effects.

Stunning page! It takes me back to Bill's golden age style, yet has the refinements of his later work. Doesn't get much better than this

Gotta love Everett's handling of underwater scenes- nobody drew deep sea currents like that guy!
