Great news!

The book THE INVINCIBLE GENE COLAN has been greenlighted at Marvel. This is going to be a high-quality, hardcover tribute to one of their greatest (and most lovable) artists, one whose work many of us have loved since childhood.

The book will be edited by famed punk fiction author Clifford Meth and we are seeking HIGH-QUALITY SCANS of Gene's art (published, unpublished, commissions and sketches). OBVIOUSLY, since this will be a Marvel book, we prefer their characters (or those in the public domain). NO Batman, Wonder Woman, etc...(unless someone can get DC to do a similar book of course!)

Here's the details on what scans to send:

· The book will be about 144 pages, color and b/w. If your art is color or grayscale, then 300 dpi at repro size (book pages will be approx. 11" high) if pure bw lineart, then 1200 dpi at repro size.

· TIFFs are preferred but JPEGs are acceptable. Color CMYK TIFF files can be large so you can send RGB JPEGs if it's easier.

· Do NOT send to me or Cliff. Email all scans to: sheinaus "at" aol.com

Sorry, but we are NOT accepting any text pieces as this is a showcase of Gene's art. The few articles/intros have already been placed.

Thanks VERY much for your help with this well-deserved project. Considering Gene's health issues, this would be a great boost for him to enjoy while he's able to appreciate it. As his friend, I thank you too.
