Description

Matt Wagner is probably one of the first guys to get me outside the Marvel and DC universe. I thought his Grendel was one of the coolest character designs I had laid eyes on and still do. Mage captivated me...and his Batman is second to none. I emailed him for a commission and was thrilled to come away with this killer piece! Easily my new favorite commission, 2 of my favorite characters by one of my favorite artists! I still cant stop smiling!

While there have been a ton of company crossovers, Matt's Batman/Grendel is one of the best looking ever, those were great books. I've met Matt quite a few times since we live in the same area and he has always been gracious and easy to talk to, which I believe makes an artist's work shine even brighter for me. Congrats on a great piece!

I am in awe! You must have a silver tongue to have coaxed such an amazing commission piece out of one of the true modern masters. I don't know how you do it, Brian.

I find Matt's art ever more appealing as I grow older, yet he has been one of my favorites since his Comico days. I like everything about this commission, from the design elements to, well, just your choice of characters. (Also, I agree with Jerry about the quality of the Batman/Grendel cross-overs; they were some of the most satisfying ever.)
