Fawn Silver by Ronn Sutton

Done in Toronto, August 2004 by Elvira artist Ronn Sutton. For this piece I had Ron do a drawing of obscure horror actress Fawn Silver as the character she played in Ed Wood's not so classic "Orgy of the Dead." Although the movie is one of the worst films I have ever seen, the mysterious Fawn Silver remains to be one of my favorite horror celebrities that never quite made it. After doing three low budget horror films in the mid 1960's she dissapeared without a trace, leaving no information about her available. Ronn created this piece with only the picture of her from the video box plus a number of photos I took off the TV screen. The result is certainly stunning.
