Usually, I have to hunt down pages from books I've read. With this page, I got the page, and then had to hunt down the book! The page is from the Planet Hulk storyline a pretty entertaining roller coaster ride featuring the Hulk as an alien gladiator.
One of the downsides of modern pages is that they no longer contain the lettering, which is a real shame, especially on this page, where the Hulk's one true love (and the mother of his only child) Caiera dies in his arms as the Hulk proclaims "Hulk is the strongest one there is."
The eyes at the bottom say it all.
By this issue, Carlo Pagulayan had established himself as a Hulk artist to be reckoned with, and this page, in my opinion, nicely demonstrates how much his work matured from the beginning of the run. Many thanks to fellow CAFer Ken Martin for making this page available.
