DescriptionGeorge Clark pulled out all the stops in this piece, combining some lovely figure drawing with a beautiful city scape. This one has a New Yorker feel to it, with the caption that reads: "Gas rationing will sure keep those uninvited guests away from our cottage this summer. We're nothing to worry about except how we're going to get there ourselves!" I do love these pieces that reflect the reality of a different time period. 6/10/42.Social/Sharing |

What fluid line work. You are right when you say this is "cheap high quality art". You are a shrewd collector.
