Description

This was a grail piece for me ever since I saw it on the cover of the Burroughs Bulletin Directory. Obviously I'm partial to Stout's art but this is, in my opinion, his BEST Burroughs illustration. I saw Bill at Comicon a few years ago and he had this displayed for sale. When I asked how much he wanted he said those four damnable words..."I take time payments." And, he did.

Wish i had the courage to ask him for a payment over time when i saw this one in San Diego years ago.
And I have to agree one of his greatest pieces.
