DescriptionFor those who remember the incredible book Masquerade -- this piece of art is priceless. Masquerade was created by Kit Williams in 1979 -- he hid an extremely valuable piece of jewlery in England, and clues in the artwork of his book led to the prize. The book set off a mania of treasure seakers, and was an international craze. The treasure was eventually found, and later sold for a 6 figure price (in the early 80s). But the incredible artwork in the book endured. This artwork was originally meant to be the cover of the book, but it did not transfer well in the printing process -- so, it become the title page to a later edition of the book that included an answer key, published in 1982. Kit Williams artwork is nearly impossible to find -- I am ecstatic to own this painting.Social/Sharing |

I certainly do remember obsessing about finding the treasure in Masquerade! It is so cool that you own a piece of art from this book! (And it was great to meet you today!)
