It's Ichthyology with Dr. Radium and Aquaman!

This is the piece that started it all!
It was way back in the year 2000 when dinosaurs ruled the Earth. I would spend hours on-line tracking down web-sites run by my favorite comic creators. One wonderfully entertaining site that I visited often was the domain of Scott Saavedra, creator of the hysterically funny Dr. Radium. Now, on the site was this little button that you could click to contact Mr. Saavedra about commissioning an original piece of artwork. Whenever I'd check in at his site, I'd consider clicking that button and asking Scott to draw me up a meeting between Dr. Radium and my boy, Aquaman. But I always put it off vowing that next time I'd do it for sure.
Then, one day, the button was gone! Aaaah! I panicked and immediately emailed Mr. Saavedra. I explained that I had always intended to commission a piece from him and asked if there was any way I still might. Scott explained his reasons for suspending fan commissions but agreed to take my commission regardless.
As always, I requested the classic Silver Age version of Aquaman and left the actual nature of the interaction between Dr. Radium and the Sea King up to Scott. This is the delightful scene he came up with. Don't you just love the expression on Aquaman's face?
Scott, if you're reading this, thanks for taking my commission all those years ago. If you had said no I might be collecting stamps right now!
