George Tuska - Bob McLeod - Marvel Two-in-One 6 Commission (Ink Wash) - Thing & Dr Strange Vs. Giant Rat

Update: I've updated my scan with a side-by-side image of the published cover by Jim Starlin, George Tuska's original drawing, and the final version with ink washes by Bob McLeod. This is a wonderful example of how a talented inker can bring out the best in a drawing, I would argue.

This was among the very first commissions EVER for my Marvel Two In One theme. George's pencils were completed February 2003. Bob's inks and washes completed June 2003.

Marvel Two in One # 6, originally drawn by George Tuska, was part one of a multi-book crossover involving the Thing, Doctor Strange and the Defenders. The villain in MTIO 6 was a giant rat, so I asked George to include a small rodent someplace in the scene.

This commission was published in the December 2008 issue (# 31) of Back Issue magazine from Twomorrows (Steve Gerber tribute issue with Howard the Duck on the cover).
