Rocketeer Movie Adaptation Preliminary drawing. Signed by Dave Stevens 1990.

Not even 2 weeks ago did I *sigh* to my friend and say "I'll probably never own a Dave Stevens" :( Life can take a strange turn sometimes, as we all know. Not only did I get this nice Dave Stevens piece from his estate, but it is of course my favorite character The Rocketeer in one of his most iconic images.

Even in a prelim stage, beautiful! And the most finished item in the drawing is the best part, Cliff Secord himself! Wonderful piece, congrats! Maybe I should try sighing to a friend...

Congrats! A slightly more finished version of this exists...but this is the one that was published in one of his sketchbooks.

Nice, you can't ask for much more from a Stevens piece - a prelim to his most classic Rocketeer, IMO! It's great that he signed and dated it!
