Original art from the fabled 1963 comicbook series (1993, Image Comics)!1963 and Big Daddy Roth fans, check it out! This 'Red Fink'
"Mommy's Commy" original black-and-white artwork measure approx. 8" x 7 3/4" (image area; the full size of the board this is on is 11 1/4" x 7 3/4") and is drawn with pen, brush and ink with a bit of whiteout detailing. It's on 3-ply Bristol Board (in fact, the back of a cut sheet of
"official" DC Comics board, circa 1987) and it was drawn back in 1992-93 by yours truly from an ad concept by
Creative Burnouts (
Bissette & Veitch) and a rough sketch by
Rick Veitch.
This was one component of the full
faux-ad page that was published in
1963 Book Four: Tales From Beyond (see page 14 of the comicbook; the ad appeared smack-dab between
The Unbelievable N-Man story
"Showdown in the Shimmering Zone!" and the
Johnny Beyond opus
"Flipsville!").
