Steve Lieber: Lily Sharpe (Whiteout), Oakland 2001

      Steve Lieber drew the Whiteout comics with writer Greg Rucka. This is the British spy Lily from the first Whiteout book. However, this drawing is not set in Antartica as the original comic.

      I was under the misguided impression that Greg Rucka used this character under the name Tara Chace in his Queen & Country comic book series. In the first issue, the character refers to being at the South Pole in her past. Rucka explains, in Queen & Country Definitive Edition Volume 03 on page 253, that he was going to do it and created the line as an "Easter egg" for Whiteout readers and a joke. However, as he developed the story, Rucka decided Tara was too different from the Lily character and should be entirely new. He admits leaving the old line in was a mistake.
