I got this shot of Frank before he added some inks to a nice Brandy head sketch.
It was done in the sketchbook and auctioned off for the CBLDF. The price went so high that Frank wanted to spice it up a bit.
Now, here's my Frank Cho-related story. First off, I'm six-feet tall and Frank's a little shorter.
So back in Mega Con this year, I was sitting in a chair, waiting to meet J. Scott Campbell. It was a pretty long line and I'm about half-way through, when this guy comes passing by and does a double-take when he sees me.
"Excuse me, are you Frank Cho?"
Now, I know he's talking to me, but I'm like, "Wha?"
"Oh no, I'm not Frank Cho." I said.
"Okay, sorry about that." And he just keeps on walking.
Alright, so I know there aren't that many asians at a comic book show. I get it. We all look alike.
But why would Frank Cho be waiting in a line to meet J. Scott Campbell? Wouldn't he just walk right up to him?
Could be worse I guess, I read one poor sucker waited in line to meet Frank and when he got up there, he plopped Batman #608 in front of him.
Must be a Korean-thing. =)
