DescriptionThis is the first in a new theme involving my new Grand Daughter Kayla Rose. I've decided to have some fun commissioning new art by involving Kayla in the art and the new gallery is called "An art page in the life of Kayla Rose." This first one was done by Richard Cox and he was already going to do a Wonder Woman piece for me and then Kayla was born! So, a few days later we talked again and I told him that I wanted to start a new theme involving Kayla and sent him some of the pictures of her. The very next day he sent a prelim that got me all excited and 5 days later, this is the Beautiful results! Wonder Woman in Themyscira holding Kayla wrapped in an American Flag. He also added some Roses in the lower left. I can't tell you how much I recommend Richard for commissions! He has a CAF gallery that he just started not long ago but already has some really great pieces in there. Be sure to click over to his site and check them out! He is also now repped by Craig over at Wednesday's Heroes. This one is 11x14 with Greyscale Copic markers and ink on 11 x 14 Bristol board.Social/Sharing |

Congratulations times three, Ken -- for the great new theme, for the gorgeous art, and especially for your granddaughter!

Wow, nicely done! Be careful, Ken...if there's ever a theme that one could get carried away with , this is it!

Just beautiful in both its sentiment and its presentation. You can tell that Richard was really inspired by the subject matter. The understated, yet dramatic, blue tones lend an extra element of reverence and serenity to this special tribute. That Amazonian tiara on Kayla's head is also a nice touch that brought a smile to my face. Congratulations on a worthy momento to this occasion! Welcome to the world, Kayla Rose!
