DescriptionThis piece should not be here in my collection. It breaks every collecting rule I have -- no unpublished work and no pencils. And yet here it is, sitting there happily in my collection.A collector friend of mine introduced me to Scherberger's work, which took me a while to warm up to. Then this piece popped up. I just loved the impossibly large Hulk fighting the spindly lithe Spider-man who looks like he is just trying to avoid getting squashed. I also love the inverted nature (white pupils) of the Hulk's eyes. Makes him look even more mad than usual. There's also the little question of how are these two guys moving when they are covered in what must be tons of rubble. But I guess in breaking some rules about how to make things look, Scherberger made this piece more appealing to me. And in that way, art imitates life, in that sometimes you have to break the rules. Even when they are your own. Social/Sharing |

Oh no, no, no! We can’t have you breaking your own rules! As a friend, I hate seeing you have to compromise yourself this way. So I will gladly relieve you of this burden and restore your peace of mind. Just ship it out to me at your convenience and you never have to worry about it again. I’ll even pay for shipping. Really! No really! I insist, really! I’m serious! Really, I am! Seriously! Artemis? Artemis??? Hello? Is anyone there? =)

Awesome! Incredible Pin-Up and I agree about the Hulk's inverted eyes. Nice one!

Unpublished or not, it's a great rendition of 2 of Marvel's most iconic figures by a young talented artist. Cheers! N.

Yep, Yep, Sometimes rules are meant to be broken. Love the contrast between Spidey and Hulk. Thanks for sharing!

What a very cool piece!! Spidey totally has the look of a teenager with clothes that don't fit:) I love this!
