Description

Mary Marvel, as she appeared in Final Crisis, was a truly twisted figure. Corrupted by Darkseid in the Countdown miniseries and then possessed by the spirit of Desaad, Mary became a brutal, fetishistic villain. As someone with macabre sensibilities, I wondered how this dark version of the character would look if rendered by Tim Vigil. He drew this striking portrait of the corrupted heroine in my villains sketchbook.
