Nightcrawler by Alex Konat

I love this sketch. I had no idea who Alex Konat was until I saw his portfolio sitting next to Micah Gunnell at the Aspen Studios table during the 2009 Baltimore Comic-Con. Micah was at the tail end of finishing up the drawing and I had looked through his art pages, and Alex's caught my eye. He'd done some DC work (Gotham Gazette) and his pencil work for it was phenomenal -- really eye-catching, really detailed. I chatted him up for a bit to find out who he was (I told him I was unfamiliar with his work and he admitted he was just breaking in), and he did this Nightcrawler sketch for me. Very cool technique on the clouds.
