Description

Won a Heroes Int. (support them!) auction in Baltimore 2008, but sadly Mr. Cooke was ill on the Sunday I was suppose to get a sketch, so he took my name and addres. No worries, it was for a good cause, and I didn't want to be a pushy fan. I finally got up the courage to ask if he remembered me in Toronto 2009, and I felt sooo bad, especially because one of "those pushy fans" was in line in front of me. What a true, true gentleman, Mr. Cooke drew this for me and my son. It is the kindness of creators like this that remind me what I love about this hobby, not the art, but the memories. A true gentleman, a class act, there is not enough words for me to describe my warm and fuzzy appreciation of Mr. Cooke. Thank you sir!

Wow! I like the combination of story and amazing artwork. You're right about Darwyn being such a nice guy. He added me to his list in Megacon after I had been delayed in the airport for 15 hours. He didn't have to do it but I'm glad he did. Fred
