I met George Tuska at the 2003 Pittsburgh Comicon. Even then, he seemed very frail, but he was doing sketches. I asked him to draw a Captain America for me. After it was done, George's wife said to me that today was his 87th birthday. I looked at the drawing and thought to myself "Oh, lord, this guy draws so much better at 87 years old then I will ever be able to to do in my entire life!"

I was sorry to hear about George Tuska passing away in October. Another comic book legend lost. At least he led a long life, and was active artistically up until the very end.

I look at this sketch and wish that I had gotten George to add one to my Cap sketchbook as well when I met him at shows.
