Cloak and Dagger Fearfully and Wonderfully Made

This is an example of comic art as pop art, the image of this dark shamanistic man behind and nearly enveloping a pale, almost delicately slender, yet sharp-edged woman looking intently at something is intriguing enough in itself. Add to this the words, "Darkness and light are both alike. I am fearfully and wonderfully made." (Two unconnected lines from Psalm 139) and you have a powerful seductive image. You don't have to know anything about the story or the characters, in fact, it is probably better if you don't know. It evokes a rich backstory and the promise of a tale that one can only imagine.
