I met Stephen Platt at Late Night at LACMA, June 21 '07. It was some sort of modern art party where artists from many genres performed their art for the atendees. In there he was showcasing his live drawing and doing promotion for his comic pencilling instruction DVD. I brought a bunch of comics for him to sign and my sketchbook for him to do his magic. It was so weird because noone knew who he was. There was absolutely no comic fans to see him that night.

You probably got an even better sketch because of the situation. Platt is sorely missed in comics
