Description

Buck Rogers Daily Strip #663, early 1931. I'm actually speechless for having added this historical piece to my small collection. Sci-fi is my favorite genre and this piece will be a good companion of my Flash Gordon.
This is the second oldest daily known to exist, and the oldest one with Buck and all the main characters, Dr. Huer, Wilma and Buck's arch-enemy, Killer Kane.
Dick Calkins, artist on Buck Rogers from 1929-1939, built a bonfire in his yard after a contract dispute with the owners of the strip. As a result, there are only few examples of genuine Calkins work on Buck Rogers known to exist.
I have to thank very much many people involved in this, Scotty for having found it, Thierry for providing very quickly the necessary money and, of course, Dr. Dave for a very smooth deal and for being a gentleman.
