This is Arthur's variant for the cover to Tesla Strong #1. Purchased on eBay. But one of the few times I didn't ask my buddy Jonathan to bid for me. I had actually asked another friend, who in turn passed the buck to a friend of his. The bids to that point had been pretty low, so I really felt I might get away with a real bargain by sniping it at the end. Unfortunately, my friend's friend didn't have the patience to watch the auction and just threw my max bid up too early. After that, all the underbidders started throwing bids up just to see where the top bid was. Luckily my max held up. But I still think that the bidding wouldn't have gone that high if he didn't post my bid so early.
The really funny thing is that even though I felt it ended higher than it should have, when you consider today's prices for Arthur's stuff, it still ended up being a steal. I guess it's true what they say, that time heals all wounds. But I've learned my lesson about asking anyone else to bid for me. LOL
Anyway, I think this piece just might hold the record for the most number of hot babes Arthur has ever drawn on a cover. If he should ever be inspired to try and BREAK this record, my poor bank account and I will be right here waiting! :)
