Wow, almost 10 years after acquiring this piece, I finally found the published ad that it was used for! This particular ad appeared in the May 1941 issue of Ladies' Home Journal. For me, it's probably one of the funnest parts of this hobby! Robert O. Reid is best known for his drawings of beautiful, doe-eyed women and goofy-looking everymen, and I'm so happy to have this example in my collection! An under-rated talent to be sure! Social/Sharing |
